Raptor Relatives – Youth Bird of Prey Programs
School classroom program
Students are introduced to different species of hawks, falcons and owls. Intertwined within our presentations are teachings on the human/bird relationship, the predator/prey relationship, raptor conservation, adaptations, natural history and why it is important for students to care. We strive to inspire awe and wonder, show ways in which humans have impacted these animals, and how youth can help. We inspire students to get outside, explore and identify wild raptor species. All of our presentations are 50-60 minutes, can be tailored for students from 4-12 grade, as well as for adults.
Price: Sliding scale $200-$350 with 3-4 raptors for 30 students $50 each additional classroom. $100 additional for flight demonstration (subject to weather, location, bird availability).
Travel fees: less than 50 miles from center – no charge.
50 – 100 miles $100 plus .55 cents /mile
101 -200 miles $200 plus .55 cents/mile
